When the going got tough, the San Francisco 49ers turned to Joe Montana. As quarterback, Montana led his team to 31 fourth quarter come-from-behind wins, earning him the nickname "The Comeback Kid." During his 14 years with the 49ers, he directed them to four Super Bowl wins and won three Super Bowl MVP awards for himself. "Joe Cool" was selected to eight Pro Bowls, a record for quarterbacks at the time, and ended his career with the 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs with 3,409 completions, 40,551 yards, and 273 touchdowns.
